Dux Eye View

Kings, queens, emperors, dictators, and large corporations want nothing more than an uneducated population. The illiterate and uneducated are so easy to keep under control. The foundation of a republic like our own is education and the liberal arts. They are called the “liberal arts” because they set people free from a lifetime of oppression and control from above. An educated population votes with both intellect and intelligence.

Here’s a line or two from the Texas GOP’s current platform: “We oppose the teaching of Higher Order Thinking Skills, critical thinking skills, and similar programs.” “War is Peace”, “Freedom is Slavery”, and “Ignorance is Strength” cannot be far behind.
